Kana was born in the Ruby Sea and began working as a fashion model in Everkeep once the dome opened up to outsiders. She occasionally leaves to model bikinis for Hingashi and Eorzea, or simply to visit her home back in Kugane. Kana is outgoing and loves to meet new people! However she's not always the brightest, but always tries to make a good first impression!

Backstory

Early Life

Kana Kishi was born in Sui-no-Sato, a small Raen colony beneath the Ruby Sea. She learned to swim from a very young age, possessing the Kojin's blessing like the rest of her colony. As a child, she often collected ocean shells and rocks she thought were pretty, bringing them in to show her parents. Once she was older, Kana began to explore more on her own, swimming up to the isle shores and checking out the land. She had never seen dry sand before and found a liking for it; the texture, warmth and all. From there on, she spent more time on land, enjoying the beach whenever she could.

Moving Forward

Once turning 17, Kana decided it was time to leave her colony. She had heard about the unique culture of Kugane, taking a ship to travel entirely on her own for the first time. She was a little anxious but was excited to see what the outside world of people was like. Once arriving, Kana looked around, amazed by all the colours and people everywhere. The culture was not too different from what she was used to back home, so she didn't take long to adapt. After spending time in Bokairo Inn, Kana bought an apartment in Shrogane, using her savings from working within the colony.Kana now needed to find a job. She had little Gil left after spending most of it on her new living space, which made her consider becoming a dancer. She admired the other dancers she saw around the city and wanted to be like them. Kana then took a ship to Limsa Lominsa, spending a few months there taking professional dancing lessons. Once returning to Hingashi, she took a few additional lessons and finally began participating in performances around the city. She wore an elegant rosy outfit, with the scales across her body catching many people's eyes.

Taking A Turn

At 18, when Kana had been dancing for a little over a year, one day entirely changed her career path. After one of her performances, someone approached her. It was someone she had seen watching a few of her performances but never talked to before. He was accompanied by two others, who explained the situation. These people represented a popular clothing brand seen all across Eorzea and even Kugane, which was very close to where she lived. Kana’s appearance captured their interest, and they were keen on having her model bikinis for them.Kana was eager to accept, beginning training shortly after. She travelled everywhere, spending extended time away from home. After a year of training completed, she fully embraced her new career as a bikini model. As she travelled, Kana started adapting to the many cultures around Eorzea that were vastly different from what she was used to back in her Eastern homeland.

Pursuing Success

Kana began appearing in various beach posters as she grew in success, drawing in many people with sparkling scales across her body. She had quit dancing but still had enough free time to relax at the beach like she had always enjoyed doing when she was younger. Kana was quite busy, but satisfied enough, making a living off bikini modelling and regularly meeting new people as she travelled around, but yet did she know another unique opportunity awaited her.

A New Beginning

A couple of years passed, and Kana had just turned 20 when she got a special offer from Xak Tural. She had done a few photoshoots there before, but otherwise did not know much and was extremely curious about what this could be about. Everkeep had opened up. They were looking to diversify the population of Solution Nine and welcome more people of certain employments to aid the economy. Kana was offered to become a model for some of the city's latest fashion. A company from within had heard about her bikini modelling and wanted to offer something larger and unique, especially since Au Ra within Solution Nine are more 'exotic'.Kana was hesitant at first. She didn't know a thing about Everkeep but knew it would mean spending more time away from home to live there part-time. However, she soon got to see the city herself from a tour the company gave her. It was strange and unlike anything she had ever seen, but the vibe felt oddly comfortable. She spent a couple weeks there to see what life would be like, before finally accepting the offer.

In the City

Kana took a few months to properly adjust to her surroundings in Solution Nine and become more accustomed to all of the new technology. Once she was fully adjusted, she began making her first appearances in advertisements around the city. The longer she stayed, the more she embraced the city's vibrant energy, letting it influence her personality. Her playful side began to show more, but at the same time causing her to be a bit more unpredictable than before.Since then, Kana has continued fashion modelling in Solution Nine, occasionally leaving to go on a vacation or visit her home back in Kugane. She's changed a lot since she left her colony, but she still has a whole life ahead of her.

  • Sociable: Kana enjoys socializing with people she hasn't met. Though sometimes cautious, she's always up for making a new friend!

  • Playful: Having a generally playful personality, Kana may make your boring day a little more interesting. BUT... it might come at the expense of a bit of teasing, so beware.

  • Unintelligent: Kana isn't always the smartest, which may lead her to make some poor choices.

  • Optimistic: Kana believes that good can come out of almost anything! She will always look at the positives in a negative situation.

  • Chaotic: Kana can be pretty unpredictable. You never really know how she might react to something...

  • Impulsive: Kana lives in the moment, and might do things that have consequences later on. She also easily gets distracted, even during a good conversation.

  • NOTE: She's a slightly higher-end model, but she's not famous. You may have have seen her but you wouldn't know her name.

If she's in Everkeep, she may visit the park, have a drink at a bar, keep herself occupied at True Vue, or just enjoy the atmosphere at Mosiac. You could always go up to her and start up a chat! After all, Auri are a rarer sight in Solution Nine.

  • Some Time Outside - When Kana visits outside of the dome and has free time, she likes to travel, visit the beach, or simply chill out in her apartment.
